We currently have a great opportunity for a Member Services Associate to join our Plan Member Advocacy™ (PMA) team in our Winnipeg Head Office.


POSITION SUMMARY


Our Plan Member Advocacy™ team is an integral part of our client service and account management offering, and is responsible for the care of and problem solving for our clients’ employees and their families. Reporting to the Director of Administration, the role of Associate, Plan Member Advocacy is a key team member who applies related experience in client service, and enjoys working in a fast paced environment. The Associate, Plan Member Advocacy™ is on the frontline, and makes a difference for both our clients and their plan members across Canada every day.


Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
• Ascertain the nature of incoming calls and emails and respond accordingly.
• Professionally greet and direct clients and plan members.
• Develop and maintain relationships with plan administrators and other professionals responsible for benefits plan administration.
• Advocate for and assist plan members and their families with questions about their coverage or claims adjudication; including disability management.
• Troubleshoot problem claims with plan members.
• Work with our insurer partners toward mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Become a trusted and relied upon partner to our clients’ HR Team.
• Provide general administrative support such as typing, data entry, photocopying, filing, etc. to the team, as needed.
• Contribute to the team effort by completing other administrative tasks or projects as assigned.


Required Skills and Experience:
▪ Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience with, Group Life and Health concepts, benefits and best practices, including self-insured arrangements, pooling arrangements, Multi-Employer trusts and flexible benefits programs
▪ A minimum of three years of experience working in employee benefits service
▪ Excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and oral communications skills
▪ Solid working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
▪ Strong organizational and time management skills as well as the ability to set and manage multiple priorities
▪ Able to maintain confidentiality related to private and business matters
▪ Experience in Pension service is an asset
